Ben Winzenz’s Bio


Hi, I'm Ben Winzenz, and I am currently a Support Engineer on the Exchange Admin Support team.  I joined Microsoft in October of 2006, and before that I was an Exchange MVP for the previous 3 years.  I have been working in the IT industry since 1998, and with Exchange since 1999, when I first cut my teeth on Exchange 5.5.  Previously, I worked for a startup company in Austin as a Customer Support and Implementation Engineer, and then later as a Systems Engineer overseeing a large Development/QA Lab.  Prior to that, I worked as a Network Administrator in Indianapolis, and as a Systems Administrator in Ann Arbor, MI.  I now call Dallas my home, and hope to be here for some time.


 


I grew up in Manchester, Michigan (a small "village" of about 2000) and went on to college at Brigham Young University, where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Pre-Physical Therapy.  While it is true that I am not working in the field that I studied in college, I guarantee that I am a certified geek when it comes to technology, and my wife will wholeheartedly agree.  I am married to a wonderful wife, Julianne, and we currently have 4 children together.  In my free time, when I'm not working on my computer, I enjoy playing Xbox (I'll take you on in any racing game), playing with our kids, and enjoy watching and participating in most sports, though Basketball is definitely my favorite.

    we are having some errors when running this.  

    the exchange Calendar update tool gives error

    unable to open mailbox error 8004011D.

    Any ideas?

    This might be because the account used does not have permissions to log onto the mailbox in question.
