Ed Prescott’s Bio

I've been working in the Exchange group at Microsoft for the last 8 years, mostly on SMTP, then more recently on E12's Information Worker effort.  Before that, I got a few graduate credits in Environmental Science at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA, and before that a Biology degree from Pomona College in Los Angeles.  I enjoy the problem-solving challenges of working at Microsoft, as well as shipping great products that customers love.  I live in Seattle with my wife, Sara, and two children, Edmund and Mariah.  When I'm not at work, I spend most my time chasing the children, playing hockey, gardening, writing, and practicing qigong.  I smile at strangers, sort my books by color, my thoughts by size, and pay with exact change.  I am still trying to figure out what to do with  my hair.

  2. Great stuff! The only questions that’s still there: what will be the replacement for SEO in Exchange 12? A new SMTP Stack not requiring IIS? Running in Kernel Mode?
