Get Used to IAG 2007

I’ve being studying about IAG with one of our IAG SME (Subject Matter Expert) for a couple of weeks and I’m really fascinated on the capabilities and the power that this application has. I don’t want to reinvent the wheel here and explain what the IAG is, because there is a really good sequence of articles written by Dr. Thomas Shinder that explains that really well. Here it is:

The Microsoft Intelligent Application Gateway 2007 (IAG 2007) Part 1: SSL VPN 101

The Microsoft Intelligent Application Gateway 2007 (IAG 2007) Part 2: IAG Connectivity Options

The Microsoft Intelligent Application Gateway 2007 (IAG 2007) Part 3: IAG File Access and Security Options

With that you can start learn more about the product, but if you want to really dive on this subject, download the virtual lab that has a DC with Exchange and Sharepoint on it, IAG 2007 and a XP Client connected to the External Interface. The following features are explained on this lab:

• SSL VPN

• Policy-based Secure Access

• End-point Security Management

As I said on the title, you better get used to this product because it is a powerful tool that allows alignment of security and accessibility from anywhere.
