Resolution:

Install 955360 WSH binaries are overwritten by Windows File Protection after you install Windows Script 5.7 on a computer that is running Windows Server 2003 or Windows XP

https://support.microsoft.com/?id=955360

Once you download the hotfix and extract the package, the executable will be called WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB955360-V4-x64-ENU.exe.

You will need to reboot for this hotfix to take effect.

Once you are back up to verify that you are on WSH 5.7, open a CMD

Type “wscript.exe” w/o the quotation marks and then Press Enter.

or

Type “cscript.exe” w/o the quotation marks and then Press Enter.

You should see version 5.7.
