New Features for Wireless Networking in Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2

Windows 8.1 has some great new features for Wireless Networking.

Wireless Display with Miracast allows you to project your Windows 8.1 laptop or Windows RT tablet screen onto larger Miracast-compatible screens for easy information sharing.

802.11ac provides much greater bandwidth and faster connections than 802.11n and other previous standards.

And for those taking their own devices to their organization networks, you can now log on with non-domain joined devices (when 802.1X password-based authentication is deployed on your network) - and only have to enter your credentials once per session.
