Step-by-Step Guide: Deploying Windows Firewall and IPsec Policies is now available!

This guide shows you how to centrally configure and distribute commonly used settings and rules for Windows Firewall with Advanced Security by describing typical tasks in common scenarios. You get hands-on experience in a lab environment using Group Policy management tools to create and edit GPOs to implement typical firewall and IPsec rules and settings. You also configure GPOs to implement common server and domain isolation scenarios and see the effects of those settings. Although almost all of the scenarios in the guide apply to computers that are running Windows® 7, Windows Vista®, Windows Server® 2008 R2, and Windows Server® 2008, there is a new section that demonstrates the new Windows 7 tunnel mode client-to-gateway and gateway-to-client rules. This section can be run only on computers that are running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.

If you want to see how easy it is to configure the firewall in your organization, or how you can protect your network traffic by using IPsec connection security rules, then download this guide, set up your virtual machines, and get started today!
