Windows 10, v1703 demos: BIOS to UEFI conversion and Windows Defender ATP

We recently released two new technical demonstrations to help you learn more about some of the new features available for IT pros in Windows 10, version 1703.

Windows Defender ATP

With Windows 10, version 1703, Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) offers new features to help you better detect, investigate, and respond to threats against your network, such as:

  • Upgraded detection capabilities for ransomware
  • Better detection of attackers who are using in-memory and kernel-level attacks
  • The ability to identify user accounts with the most active alerts and investigate cases of potential compromised credentials
  • The ability to take immediate action on a machine or file to contain a breach

Convert from BIOS to UEFI with MBR2GPT

Windows 10, version 1703 introduces a new tool, MBR2GPT, that enables you to convert a disk from Master Boot Record (MBR) to GUID Partition Table (GPT) partition style, without modifying or deleting data on the disk, as part of a migration from BIOS to UEFI.
