Earlier this year we announced the ‘Technical Computing’ initiative at Microsoft, and set up a site at ModelingTheWorld.com.
Today we have a launch event in New York, with a keynote presentation from Bill Hilf, the General Manager of the Microsoft Technical Computing team. He announced immediate availability of the Windows HPC Server 2008 R2 Suite, along with its integrated system’s management, Excel 2010 integration, high speed MPI and NetworkDirect implementations, and a host of other features, as well as talked about our Technical Computing vision.
Click over to the Technical Computing Launch Site to watch the presentation live Monday morning or on-demand.
For people who like press releases we have one on the Microsoft Press Pass site.
You can also grab an evaluation of the Windows HPC Server 2008 R2 Suite while you’re at it!
