Who are you, where are you, and what do you do? What are your specialty technologies?

Hi folks, my name is Shakir Hussain. I am from Islamabad, Pakistan. Currently I am living in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates, with my lovely wife and daughter.

I am Microsoft Certified Trainer, and I am currently working as Solution Architect Microsoft Practice with Mauqah Technology an IT Service Provider, from the last 4 Years. I am in IT industry since 2002. I am working on Microsoft technologies and worked with different local & international Enterprise customers. I have Experience in Infrastructure Designing and Implementation, Virtualization, and Disaster Recovery.

Extensive hands-on experience in Core Server Infrastructure, Cloud Computing, Virtualization/ Management and Information Protection. Analysis and Support of Microsoft Windows Server based Client/ Server network, AD, Messaging, Skype for Business, SQL Always On, Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Hyper-V clusters, Docker/Containers and System Center Infrastructure related Products.

What are your big projects right now?

Currently I am working on a Microsoft Exchange project hosting 40 large scale companies in an Exchange hosted environment with more than 6000 active mailboxes using TFA and customize OWA for each company.

Also working on writing articles in Windows Server 2016, Docker/Container, Securing Microsoft Windows Server environment, speaking at local events and writing blogs etc. Helping customer for digital transformation road map by using Microsoft products. Planing for the 70-740, 70-741, 70-742 and MCSA 2016. Apart from this, I am also giving training on Microsoft Office 365 and Windows Azure.

TechNet Wiki is inspiration to learn more and share more with community. I love to share article and like to help community in Microsoft related product and services.

What do you do with TechNet Wiki, and how does that fit into the rest of your job?

Whenever I have to find out some solution my first destination is TechNet Wiki. I used to find out different technology solutions and guidance. Also share my own real life experience on TechNet Wiki in shape of articles. I also used to read articles and contribute. I used to bookmark important articles which help me in my jobs to read it again or if I have to follow some configuration steps so TechNet Wiki always help me to keep myself updated and helped.

What is it about TechNet Wiki that interests you?

TechNet Wiki is a platform where we can share the knowledge, upgrade our skills. Anyone can modify your article to make it more and more better.

TechNet wiki increased my interest in reading different articles which are latest on technology to enhance my knowledge and expertise. We can start contributing our knowledge by writing articles on any Microsoft product and services and lot of experts like MVP’s helps us and guide us in improving the articles by providing suggestions and feedback.

Who has impressed you in the Wiki community, and why?

At the beginning I was writing in TechNet Gallery and helping the community in Forum particularly in Microsoft Exchange category. Once, I was search some solution and found one article written by Ed Price it was really helping and impressed me. So later I decided to write something wonderful like that. I started writing and many people helped me from LinkedIn and Facebook Group, specially Mr. Rajeesh, Mr. Kamlesh Kumar and Syed Shanu.

What are your top 5 favorite Wiki articles?

Do you have any tips for new Wiki authors?

I would like to suggest new authors to first read rule and regulations describes at How to Join and Getting Started so that they can start things in a better way. Also new authors can study other articles first to get more idea about how to start writing. New authors can write Wiki Article on basis of their interest and experiences on the technologies they are working on. They should focus on producing quality content with appropriate formatting style so that article will be beneficial for rest of the community.
