Microsoft Cognitive Services (formerly Project Oxford) are a set of APIs, SDKs and services available to developers to make their applications more intelligent, engaging and discoverable. Currently, these Cognitive Services are mainly divided into five categories: Vision, Speech, Language, Knowledge and Search.  chilberto in his article discusses the Computer Vision API, and that's one of the services available under the Vision category. And he has also provided sample code explaining how you can analyze an image using Computer Vision API.
