Technet Guru 2016: Icon Logo is Go-Go

Calling all International Iconographers!

Peter Laker AKA XAML guy AKA Pedro ( Lord of the Competition, Master of XAML and all round nice guy ) has already blogged introducing the background and ideas behind the push for new designs of Logo / Iconography.

We have designs on your design skillz.

Stir your synaptic synergy. Advance your design which will awake amazement in the masses.

Dazzle us with your market disrupting ditty ( I've never really quite followed that marketeering disruption meme ).

Or

JUST DESIGN US SOME PICTURES

If you can't draw won't draw then you can still contribute with concepts. Come up with some ideas. Maybe you don't have any ideas but you know someone who is a capable graphic artist. We won't actually be paying any cash money but whoever comes up with the final designs will get our everlasting praise and it will of course be used every month. That's possibly a great way for someone to showcase their abilities.

Snazzy Footer

This isn't just a picture we want. Part of the plan is to give medal winners a banner style piece of html + image they can use on their blog and as a footer on their winning TnWiki article so any reader can easily see their brilliance. Maybe also encouraging them to contribute an article of their own.

How Do I Get Involved

You can edit the page linked above, add your own roughs, post comments there, use Facebook. If you're a Ninja you can Skype amongst us Ninjas or you can email Ed Price. He'd love to hear from anyone interested in helping out.

You Can Do Better Than This

Some people need to see something before they really get going with the visualisation. With this in mind I've thrown together a draft example. A finished design will be much more polished than this but discussion has to start somewhere and it's best to start with roughs.

So here's the result of 15 minutes worth of wrestling MS Paint:
