TNWiki Article Spotlight - Availability Testing With Microsoft Application Insights

Hello and welcome everybody to our TNWiki Article Spotlight on Tuesday.

Availability is nowadays a common requirement. Terms such as Always-On stand for a typical scenario which needs to be kept in mind. But what is one of the first steps to achieve high availability? To be notified when something goes wrong and availability may not be guaranteed. Today I want to cover another another article initiated by Ken Cenerelli which helps to master this starting point. He wrote an interesting one about how you can do availability testing with Microsoft Application Insights. The article covers all the necessary steps, such as setting up a URL ping test via the Azure portal, getting information about the test results and other useful modification steps.

If you are already using Azure and want to gain some insights in your application, not limited to availability, I highly recommend to take a look at Application Insights.
