TNWiki Article Spotlight - Geolocalize a device and store coordinates on Webserver

Welcome to another Tuesday and hope all you are waiting to see what we have got for this week’s TNWiki Article Spotlight.

In this week the article that spotlights TNWiki is the article that won the TechNet Guru Awards for month of May, 2015, and that’s under Universal Windows Apps Category, an article from  Emiliano Musso  titled  Geolocalize a device and store coordinates on Webserver .

This article will give you a jump start on how you can create a basic location aware app and that's using a phone running Windows Phone 8.1. Once the location information is retrieved, those information will be sent and stored in a database located in a remote web server. Nice thing here is, the remote web server is not running on Microsoft stack, but on Apache and the database is MySQL.

There are code snippets, plenty of images to explain the whole process on the go and the full source code for the article is available in MSDN code gallery.

So why just wait, go ahead and enjoy reading the article from the following link.

Have a nice week ahead and stay tuned!

Happy Coding.
