TNWiki Article Spotlight – Creating a Microsoft Application Insights resource

Hello and welcome everybody to our TNWiki Article Spotlight on Tuesday.

Most of you are already familiar with our Microsoft TechNet Guru Awards. There we are trying to cover outstanding articles on our wiki in different categories every month. The last time we had an article in that list written by Ken Cenerelli. "Creating a Microsoft Application Insights resource" walks you through the creation process of an Application Insight resource inside the Microsoft Azure portal.
What is the deal with Application Insights? Imagine a situation where you want to monitor your application or gather telemetry data of one of your apps. Doing this by hand can be a painful process. That is the point where Application Insights jumps in. You register your application with an Application Insights resource and get a lot of features out-of-the-box. As you will see, the article is just the first step in a long and exciting journey.

In case you are interested in getting to know how your application really works, Application Insights is a service you should have on your watch list.
