TNWiki Article Spotlight - Azure Machine Learning

Hello and welcome everybody to our TNWiki Article Spotlight on Tuesday.

During the last years several trending technologies and buzzwords have come up which had seem to be separate from each other at a first glance. Cloud Computing and Big Data are just two of them. With the advent of Big Data another trend has emerged. One that has been around for decades in academia - Machine Learning. Machine learning, an area normally reserved for highly specialized people, mathematicians and statisticians, has become quite popular and more accessible for a wider audience with the release of Azure Machine Learning. Someone, who has been talking about this topic since the first days of it is Damir Dobric. As one of the MVPs from Germany I had the pleasure to work together with him.

With that, it is great to see that Damir has published a series of articles about Azure Machine Learning. Episode 1 gives you a quick start to become familiar with Azure Machine Learning. The second part of the series shows step-by-step how to create an experiment. Don't become discouraged because of the formulas at the end of the article. Mathematics is a central point in machine learning. Episode 3 talks about one of the most interesting parts of Azure Machine Learning, the ability to get involved as a developer.

To summarize, if you are interested in predictive analytics and finding valuable information in big data sets, this one is for you!
