International Spotlight: What is happening in the Persian Community?

The Persian year is ending until 3 weeks and it is worth to review what happened this year.

This year lots of people contributed to Persian community and shared their knowledge on Wiki with "fa-IR" tag. We appreciate all of the articles and people who helped us to elaborate this section of TechNet Wiki. Let's have a look at the activities of the community.

1- Persian council

About a year ago we established the Persian council. Have a look at the rules and members of the council! Now, we have  about 9 active and 5 retired members! You could also find some Persian articles on the Council Portal.

2- MTPC award

To encourage community members the Microsoft Technical Persian Contributors award was offered by Ed. So, we announced final candidates, and based on the votes of the community Yahya has won the first MTPC award.

3- Facebook group

After the main international group of TechNet Wiki, the Persian page is on the first languages which have created their own Facebook group. In our group, we have 82 members and more than hundreds of posts. Thanks to Ronen for his ideas about these groups.

4- Persian Blog

As all of us know, blogs help a lot to attract more contributors and to share more knowledge. So, with helps of Ed we created the blog authors group and started to post in Persian. Have a look at this blog.

Finally I want to give special thanks to my co-Wikiers in Persian community:
