Thursday Council Spotlight – Would you join the TechNet Guru World Cup???

The World Cup is here again! Sort of.

We've got brains in our ball!

And YOU have been selected to play on our team!

Yes blog reader, step up and take a shot!

Slam some techie tips in the back of our nets!

No dribbling please, just lots of problem tackling.

So come on Gurus and use your head!

Show us your skills, wow us with your technique, and win the hearts of your nation (or at least our hearts)!

All you have to do is add an article to TechNet Wiki from your own specialist field. Something that fits into one of the categories listed on the submissions page. Copy in your own blog posts, a forum solution, a white paper, or just something you had to solve for your own day's work today.

Drop us some nifty knowledge, or superb snippets, and become MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGY GURU OF THE MONTH!

This is an official Microsoft TechNet recognition, where people such as yourselves can truly get noticed!

1) Please copy over your Microsoft technical solutions and revelations to TechNet Wiki.

2) Add a link to it on THIS WIKI COMPETITION PAGE (so we know you've contributed)

3) Every month, we will highlight your contributions, and select a "Guru of the Month" in each technology.

If you win, we will sing your praises in blogs and forums, similar to the weekly contributor awards. Once "on our radar" and making your mark, you will probably be interviewed for your greatness, and maybe eventually even invited into other inner TechNet/MSDN circles!

Winning this award in your favoured technology will help us learn the active members in each community.

Feel free to ask any questions in the comments.

    Hi Ed,
Should be a page or group on Facebook, like the twitter in the "Engage" section. I for example do not work with twitter (i have an account but almost never login), while I am on Facebook all the time (It is open in the background). Much information on new articles,
I get from Naomi or a someone else or a group which I follow on Facebook. This is why when Naomi post a interview I usually see it fast while your posts I might see after 2 weeks or even miss it

    Wiki Ninjas Blog (Announcements)
    Wiki Ninjas on Twitter
    TechNet Wiki Discussion Forum
Wiki Ninjas on Facebook <– where is this?!?

  7. Saeid Hasani says:

I agree with you, we don’t have FB page!
I had the same problem until I was lucky to see this great blog post written by Alan Carlos:
Then I found that I can use "Email subscribe to this blog".
But, It cannot fill "Engage" gap as you mentioned.
    Have a great weekend 🙂

  8. pituach says:

Saeid I don’t like to use "Email subscribe to this blog". My email used for other purposes, such as business or personal needs. If I will start to ask for emails from every system that I came to read articles then I will get every day another 500 emails
    and it’s not for me!
Facebook is something that is open in background (same as twitter for other people) and I go in whenever I want to. It is separated from other uses, such as business or personal.

    >> I could open a group for us a group on Facebook, but this is something that need to be officially group for the Wiki Ninjas, and that is something that only Ed can make officially and add the link to the WIKI 🙂

  9. Ronen created the Facebook page! The game is on indeed!
