Wiki Life: How to Find Wiki Articles I Wrote

Hello and welcome everybody to our Wednesday - Wiki Life post.

Easter is gone with a lot of searching for Easter eggs. With this in mind I want to introduce you to the topic of this blog post.

Have you ever had the problem that you are looking for articles you have written two years ago? Or another case: Don't you remember the articles you have made an edit to? If so, you are not alone. I had the same problem for a long time. Fortunately, I found an article on our wiki - How to Find Wiki Articles I Wrote. It shows you a step-by-step instruction how you can find articles you have worked on. But you should not only read the article itself, you should definitely read through the comments. They give alternative solutions.

    Thanks for sharing this article.

I would like to highlight just the “My Pages” option displays all the articles that we created or edited.
If want to see just articles that you create, the best resource is add a tag with your name (or nickname) in the article.

In my articles, I use “Durval” tag, see below:

This is just a workaround ,cant we have a feature which shows all article created by User on left hand side like we have for Technet Gallery. If this can be included it would really be good

  4. Shanky, yes, it’s on the list. But IE compatibility is currently at the top.

How would you rank this against wider reading areas, article view numbers, and more language-specific versions (like what we have for Portuguese and Russian)?

  5. I think this article could also use a section on leveraging Profile Activity to see what other people wrote.

  6. Regarding getting a list of authored articles… honestly, I use a tag and I’m good. These other problems don’t have as easy of workarounds.

I agree with list of priorities you mentioned. Article view numbers is very good feature as well.

  8. Thank your for pointing out this article. Also, I agree that article view counts and browse compatibility issues should have higher priority.
