Wiki Life: User Groups Portal

Hello and welcome everybody to our Wednesday - Wiki Life post.

The last time I spoke about how you can build a community. That's a good starting point, but wouldn't it be easier to join an existing community? Luckily, Craig Lussier started an article a week ago which should help you with that. On the Microsoft User Groups Portal you'll find an overview about user groups for several technologies. Sounds easy, right?

So, here's an action item for the people who are already a member of a user group: Link your user group on the appropriate site! Soon you'll have a lot of new guys hanging out with you.

  1. Jan,

Thanks for highlighting the User Groups Portal! We are working to get the word out to user group members around the world and this is a great first step. I am working behind the scenes to do this and I kindly request that everyone does the same.

A note to user group presenters – I encourage you to post your session material on the Wiki! You'll reach a broad audience and certainly help others who were not able to attend your session in person.
