For today's Interview with a Wiki Ninja, I'm interviewing Mehmet Parlakyigit.

Who are you, where are you, and what do you do? What are your specialty technologies?

I'm Parlakyigit Mehmet living in Istanbul / Turkey and working for a private compagy as an Information Technology Specialist. I'm interested in virtualization technologies. I can say I love virtualization.



Tell us about the Turkish and French communities on TechNet Wiki. How did it start? What’s it like? Is it growing?

We all know that we as Turkish people love IT more than other countries. In addition, studies conducted TechNet Turkish people are very successful 24/7, helping to provide information to users who has problems. French community in the same way helps successfully TechNet people who has problems. Each member on TechNet or Wiki doesn't matter from which country he comes, each member "loves" helping.. So I can say that I want to thank them ALL!



What are your big projects right now?

We have tried to take a big step forward in the field of IT for my Company and we have been creating new projects. All about Virtualization. In addition, I'm writing a new free book about virtualization.

What is TechNet Wiki for? Who is it or?

A Platform where we can find experts and evangelists for becomming experts.



What do you do with TechNet Wiki, and how does that fit into the rest of your job?

When I have a problem TechNet Wiki is always here to lead me, and when other communtiy members have the same problem, I explain them how to do it with my own experiance referring to the Wiki.



On what Wiki articles do you spend most of your time?

I'm delighted and honored to spend 3 - 5 hours a week for my articles.



What are your top 5 favorite Wiki articles?


What does success look like for TechNet Wiki?

TechNet Wiki is a great platform for sharing and growing to help people that I believe will appeal to a wider audience. .

  4. No Ed, it is same as with USA, Turkish people doesn't speak French and they don't need to.
