Wiki-Ninjas on Technology: BizTalk Server Part 2 Update

Six months ago I wrote a post on Wiki-Ninjas on Technology: BizTalk Server. Now I like to give you an update of what has happen in the BizTalk space last six months. A lot has changed as the number of articles have increased from little of 40 to 100 today. The future roadmap of BizTalk has become more vivid. Below you see the timeline for the upcoming BizTalk Server 2010 R2 as it is named now for time being will be available 6 months after the release of Windows Server 2012.

Within the coming weeks the CTP will be made available and the Beta will follow in october. You can view the complete session on the future of BizTalk on channel 9: Application Integration Futures: The Road Map and What's Next on Windows Azure. One important message from this session from Microsoft was:

"We are innovating in BizTalk"

The Microsoft integration stack keeps evolving in years to come. Another recent session that is inline with the integration future session is: Building Integration Solutions Using Microsoft BizTalk On-Premises and on Windows Azure.

Now back to the TechNet Wiki. The last six months almost 50 new articles have been written by: , , ,, , , and . Articles include BizTalk Server 2010 articles, and articles across different BizTalk versions. The best entry point for getting access to all Wiki articles on BizTalk is through BizTalk Server resources on the TechNet Wiki article. It is a list initially setup by Nitin Mehrotra from Microsoft and each new article has subsequently been added by authors themselves. This shows the continuing support and dedication of the BizTalk community in the TechNet Wiki and Microsoft with its investment in the product BizTalk Server.
