Wiki Life: What Happened to My Page?

Welcome again to Wednesday Wiki Life!

Well, the question in the title is incorrect... There's no "my". Pages on TechNet Wiki are not owned - they are shared! :)

But of course, you can follow the changes of any Wiki articles.

First, there is a History link above each Wiki page. Just follow it, and you will see the list of  the revisions. If you would like to know what changes happened between two revisions, just select two checkboxes, and click on the "Compare Versions" button at the bottom of the History page. All newly added or deleted text will be highlighted on a comparison page.

Second, you can subscribe to the changes of an article. You can find an "Email subscribe to this article" on the right column of each page. If you click on this link, then every time the page is updated, you will receive a revision notice! And, at the bottom of the email, there will be a "compare this page with earlier revisions" link which will forward you to the comparison page.

By default, when you post a new page, email subscription will be turned on for the new page (as the checkbox above the Save button is checked in). You can uncheck it if you're not interested in the life of the page. If you would like to unsubscribe later, you can find a link in the mail, and at the right column of the Wiki page, in the Options section, where the subscription link was before.

Happy tracking!
