Friday with International Community Update - Introducing the German Ninjas

Hallo und herzlich willkommen...Hello and welcome everybody to our Friday with International Community Update.

Today I want to introduce you to the work Germans were doing on the TechNet Wiki. Weeks ago we started (and finished) the wiki translation challenge, were 48 articles were translated into German (by the way the second place in the challenge behind the Portuguese Ninjas).

Unlike the other local communities we don't have many contributors, but we try to contribute to the wiki as much as possible. A funny story about how Germans normally contribute to the wiki: Most of our articles are first written in English and were translated later into German. The best example for this is the Training and Certification portal which contains a lot of resources if you want to prepare yourself for a Microsoft certification.

With the challenge mentioned above we started to write more and more articles in German. Currently we only have two active contributors (if I have missed someone please leave a comment to this post): FZB and myself. But another challenge just started: Connect and Recruit, initiated by Tord. With this competition we hope to recruite new ninjas to the exciting world of the wiki.

And that's it! If you're a German ninja or ninja in training: Just leave a comment to this post to show the world who you are.
