2011: My New Year's Resolutions

My New Year's Resolutions

This is the time of year when people sit down and reflect on their past year
and look to the upcoming year and the changes they will make.  In my reflections, I came up with the 10
following New Year's Resolutions:

1.
I won't take it personally when someone describes my personality
as overkill before looking in
the mirror at themselves
.

2.
I will spend more time sharing with my friends and
family
.

3.
I resolve not to laugh when I read incredulous claims since I know
facts are much
different than fiction.

4.
I'll remember that imitation is the
sincerest form of flattery when I see others copying me.

5.
I'll assume the best regarding the intentions of others.

6.
I won't cough "&%$#" into my hand when I hear others telling
me they can make me better.

7.
I'll reaffirm my belief that you get what you pay
for.

8.
I will take pride in the rigor with which we engineer and test our products understanding the risks of taking
short cuts.

9.
I'll remember all that glitters isn't gold.  Great
innovations aren't ambiguous, they help people work smarter.

10.  I'll take
time to appreciate our past while
looking forward to our future.

Here's to looking forward to a great 2011 and the continuing success of Office 2010 and introduction of Office 365!
