  1. PRESCAN support is limited to Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 and SharePoint Portal Server 2003, before it can be run against a STS site collection, the server farm must be upgraded to Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 and SharePoint Portal Server 2003.

  2. Angel;

    To instantiate an upgrade successfully, all site collections within a content database must be successfully scanned; to determine whether a site site has failed the PRESCAN, you can use the guidance in http://blogs.technet.com/wbaer/archive/2006/05/09/understanding-prescan-exe-in-moss-2007.aspx.

  3. Marc Molenaar says:

    Is it possible to check a database if it is really modified by the prescan tool? Is there a tool for that or do I have to open the db and search for some specific tags?

  4. angel says:

    Hi,

    Is necessary to have zero error messages in the Preupgrade scan report result, in order to migrate succesfully?

    Thanks

    Can I run the prescan tool against a teamservices site?
