Non-Technical News: Redmond Juniors To Play Tomorrow For Third Place In Yakima Tourney

Hello once again from Yakima, Washington, where frequent visitors to this space will recall I've traveled to watch my son Kyle's team compete in the Yakima Mid Summer Special baseball tournament.

After yesterday's victory against the Red Sox and this morning's loss to Prairie, Redmond returned to the Eisenhower High School field this evening to face a select team from Prairie with first place in Pool A on the line. Unfortunately, every available break went against the Redmond crew from the get-go. The boys were down 5-0 after one inning and 11-0 after two, and eventually lost the game in five innings, 18-2.

Redmond's 1-1 record in pool play was good enough for second place in the pool. The boys will reconvene at 11:15am tomorrow to place the second place team from Pool B with third place overall in the tournament on the line.

More news tomorrow..
