A Day That Will Live In Infamy

Today is the 65th anniversary of the surprise attack at Pearl Harbor, the event which ushered the United States into active participation in the most recent War To End All Wars..

It's an appropriate moment to pause and reflect upon the contributions of what Tom Brokaw calls, "The Greatest Generation". My father and uncle both served, and our family was blessed that both survived the experience (my generation of the family would not exist but for this bit of good fortune) . The planet would be a profoundly different place were it not for the contributions of their brothers in arms, contributions upon which the blessings of my life are built. We owe them a debt which we can only repay by remembering and offering thanks, which I humbly do here.
