A Shiny New Corner of The Blogosphere

All I did was ask a question, honest..

When I was vetting my recent post regarding database design issues, I innocently asked my friend John Huschka if he had a URL he'd like me to link to his name when I cited it. Somewhat sheepishly, he replied he did not.

Well, John is not one to sit idly by feeling somewhat sheepish. As of this afternoon, John's blog made its debut here on the blogs.technet.com site. I urge you to check in there regularly, even if he doesn't always mention me as generously as he does in his innaugural post (which seems at least statistically likely).

John is a very interesting guy.  We made our acquaintance on the internal Microsoft SQL discussion lists, where (the story can now be told), early in my tenure, it was he who first showed me the OPENROWSET trick. Since then, we've kept up a steady correspondence; we even met once for lunch in Redmond when his travels brought him north and west.

His voice is a welcome addition to the conversation, and I'm happy to be able to finally put a link under his name!

Welcome to the blogosphere, John! I guess you're going to stop sending me great tips with bloggable topics in them..  You'll be blogging them yourself! Outstanding..
