Technical News: "Express" Program Extended Indefinitely

When I blogged about the launch of SQL Server 2005 and Visual Studio 2005 back in November of last year, I highlighted the release of Visual Studio 2005 Express and SQL Server 2005 Express, free downloadable versions of this powerful software. At the time, this was a pilot program.

Today comes the wonderful news via c|net that the Express program has been extended indefinitely. In addition, several new features, including support for Reporting Services and full-text search, have been added to SQL Server 2005 Express in the SP1 release.
