Can I import SoftGrid app's from a DVD or other portable Media??

You can import SFT files from a DVD!!! Or any media as a matter of fact?

To avoid loading them from a server across the network.

Select an application and use the Import command in the SCS, or you can call SFTTray on the command line (sfttray.exe /load <app name and version> /sftfile <path to SFT file>).

But after you do the import, you will still have to connect briefly to the server to authorize the user to use the application.

For example;

The application will load into sftfs.fsd

This will load fully into cache and now requires authorisation to use the application.

 

This could be presented in a number of different methods including CD, DVD, USB, or other portable media!
