Microsoft Partners Head to Los Angeles for Annual Conference to Learn New Technologies, Business Strategies

This July, Microsoft partners throughout the world will unite at the annual Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference with a common goal: to take their business to the next level. The five-day event, held in Los Angeles, is slated to be the largest conference ever held in the city, with an estimated 15,000 local and international attendees. In addition to networking and building connections with fellow conference goers, the event will highlight Microsoft’s business and technology roadmap and demonstrate how these new innovations can boost partners’ solutions and strategies.

The conference will be led by Microsoft senior leaders and will feature training sessions conducted by partners, Microsoft professionals and industry leaders. More than 600 sessions are available to members of the Microsoft partner community, including those from key vertical industries. They will learn new technologies under Microsoft’s broad portfolio and ways to gain a competitive edge in the marketplace. With the new Solution Innovation Center, attendees will have more than 200 exhibits at their fingertips to give them the opportunity to see new technologies firsthand and network with high-tech professionals. In addition to the innovation center, Microsoft will be recognizing partners with awards in such categories such as sales excellence and emerging technologies and innovations.

While the conference is packed with learning and networking opportunities, Microsoft partners also are taking an active role to support the local community with the sports-themed “Day of Giving” at a Los Angeles street fair for families and children who are beneficiaries of the Magic Johnson Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs and St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The fair will consist of booths with games and sports to play and the opportunity to play Kinect games on L.A. Live’s jumbotron. Combined with LA INC. estimation of at least $45 million in economic impact on Los Angeles, WPC is sure to bring a boost to the City of Angels.
