2010 IW Demo VMs (RTM) now available for download

The RTM version of 2010 IW Demo Virtual Machine set is now available for download here:

2010 Information Worker Demonstration and Evaluation Virtual Machine (RTM) - This download contains a two Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V Virtual Machine set for evaluating and demonstrating Office 2010, SharePoint 2010 and Project Server 2010.

I would recommend it for all customers, partners and SIs who want to evaluate/demo SharePoint 2010, FAST Search for SharePoint 2010 or Project Server 2010 features but do not want to go through the whole installation process and creating dummy sites and users. The first VM has a “Contoso.com” domain pre-configured with over 200 “demo” users with metadata in an organizational structure. All of these user profiles have been imported and indexed for search within SharePoint Server 2010. In addition to this FAST Search is configured. 

The important thing to note is that the Virtual Machines contained in this package are 180 day evaluations and you would need a machine with 8Gb RAM (min.) with Windows Server 2008 R2 and the Hyper-V role enabled on it.
