The launch of the E5 suite of Office 365 and the PSTN calling functionality being built-in to Microsoft solutions has generated a lot of excitement. Our customers excited about all the new capabilities, but more importantly I am hearing from all our partners about the new solutions they are able to offer their customers. It truly is exciting times. One of the questions that is coming up more and more frequently is what devices are compatible with Skype for Business?
Generally speaking any microphone and speaker device will work with Skype for Business. For example, in a pinch, you can use your laptop microphone and speaker. In fact right now I am using a nearly 10 year old speaker phone with Skype for business it works just fine.
Recently I just learned we have an official Skype for Business certification program for our OEM’s as well as a list of vendors and devices that meet the certification requirements. I was also surprised to learn about the wide variety of devices and solutions that are available for you and your customers through the certification program, listed here:
- Cloud IP Phones
- IP Phones
- Personal Peripherals & PCs
