Long Tran Ah December and the holidays, so this month we decided to bring you a gift of from the past, present and help you and your customers to the future.  That is the gift of Windows Server 2012 R2.  While we talk about the public cloud technologies, and that is where Modern IT is headed.  Hybrid Server Solutions is still a growth segment in SMB.  When those situations arise you will most likely look to on premises solutions with Windows Server 2012 R2.  We need to upgrade those legacy Windows Server to the latest for Security Benefits.

Over the next couple of weeks we are going to cover and remind of a lot of the great solutions you can find in Windows Server 2012 R2.   Windows Server 2012 R2 provides a great stepping stone to modern IT and pathway to cloud technologies if and when your customers make the leap.  Some of the topics we are going to cover:

    • Storage Spaces
    • Windows Server - Minimal vs Core install (and what is this Nano thing?)
    • Windows Server SA
    • Clustering
    • Backup to Azure
    • and Many more!

It is going to be a fun and exciting month and….

WE WANT YOUR FEEDBACK!

Anything Missing?  Is there a burning topic you need us to cover?  Just let us know!  Simply comment on this post or on the series home here: https://aka.ms/ts2windowsserver2012r2

If you will notice one topic missing, and it is probably one of the biggest, is Virtualization.  This month we wanted to focus on some of the core capabilities of Windows Server 2012 R2, and in the next couple of months we will spend a series just on Virtualization technologies in Windows Server 2012 R2.

Hopefully you are looking forward to this series as much as we are on Windows Server 2012 R2!   We look forward to your comments and suggestions.
