Azure in 5 Minutes: Managing your customer accounts in Azure

Over the past 18 months I’ve been working closely with many partners that resell customer solutions on Azure.  One of the initial challenges partners face with Azure is how to properly setup and manage their customer accounts, ensuring the best possible management experience moving forward.  There are many variables to consider when setting up and managing your customer’ Azure accounts:

  • Was the customer’s Azure subscription created on Azure Direct (Azure.com) or was it created on the Azure in Open platform (you bought Azure tokens and applied them to an account)?
  • Are you signing into Azure with your Organizational ID (AAD account) or your Microsoft Account (Formerly Live ID)?
  • Is your customer subscription underneath your partner subscription, or outside of your partner subscription? 
  • How do I get all of my customer’s Azure services to show up in one Admin portal view?
