Azure RemoteApp Trial

Q: (from Andrew)

It looks like RemoteApp could be the solution to my Azure technical problems.  I’d like to set it up in a separate account to get a handle on the implementation process.  Do you know if there’s a way of doing this without having to pay for 20 seats (the stated minimum)?  I’d add it to my Azure partner account but I’m afraid I’ll start getting billed for 20 seats.

A:

There is a free trial specifically for Remote App (https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/remoteapp-freetrial/). It is not specific for Partners and is available to everyone. They have 30 days after which the customer can transition to paid or, discontinue using the service. The free trial can be started by going to manage.windowsazure.com - create a new instance of RemoteApp. With the free trial, Customers and partners can build 2 instances of RemoteApp with 10 users per instance.
