In this video I will show you how to promote a VM in Azure to a Domain Controller that synchronizes with a Domain Controller of an on-premises network.  This is a continuation of the series and assumes you’ve already established the Site-to-Site VPN connection with your on-premises network. For details on setting up a Site-to-Site VPN, you can review my prior video here

Here is the blog where I setup the Domain Synchronization in Azure.  This blog also talks about setting up the Sites and Services so you can manage the replication traffic between the on-premises and Azure based Domain Controllers.

One thing I didn’t show in the video is how to setup the different AD sites.  This documentation walks through the site creation.

Please check out our whole series of Azure blogs & videos at https://azure.msts2.com

Until next time,

Rob
