Late last week we announced the first OneDrive for Business native experience on Android which is part of a significant update to the existing OneDrive app. This is our first app bringing together both OneDrive and OneDrive for business in a single client experience.  This is an exciting announcement - let me explain why.

OneDriveThe lines between work and personal life have blurred significantly in the recent past.  Customers use the same devices for work and personal purposes.  Our SMB customers are embracing this dual purpose device approach for a number of reasons – certainly reduced costs from eliminating multiple devices ranks high on the list.

Anywhere and anytime, customers need to be able to easily access, share, edit and collaborate on the files.  Customers can now navigate between personal and work files within this single app.  At the same time, everything saved to their personal OneDrive remains separate and from their files in OneDrive for Business, but switching between the two is a tap away. Of course keeping OneDrive secure on your phone is a top priority.  The new Android app now supports the use of a PIN.   Your customer can create a 4 digit PIN and leverage this PIN to limit access to the app.

As a cloud seller, you now have an even stronger story when discussing the benefits of Office 365 and OneDrive for Business with your customers.  Regardless of the device, your customers are able to experience a powerful productivity and collaboration solution.
