This summer I was fortunate enough to experience the gauntlet of Microsoft conferences:  WPC (our Worldwide Partner Conference), MGX (internal sales conference) and TechReady (internal technical conference) in three consecutive weeks!  Throughout these three weeks, the most exciting and compelling new technology presented was easily Power BI for Office 365!  I’ve always loved the technology behind business intelligence, and particularly love any solution that brings simplicity to what is typically considered a complex, resource intensive initiative.

Power BI for Office 365 builds upon the existing Excel Power Pivot and Power View capabilities and provides a simple way to bring the awesome BI created in Excel, to SharePoint Online and Windows 8.  This means we can quickly share our BI insights with the masses (SharePoint Online users view interactive BI in the browser)!  Any partner providing Office 365 services to customers should absolutely have Power BI for O365 in their offering repertoire.

Here’s a great blog post (yes, I’m blogging about a blog) that officially introduces Power BI for Office 365.

The Power BI for Office 365 Preview is coming very soon.  Go here to register for the Preview which is supposed to land later this summer (there’s also a good, short demo on the site).
