Lync Part 3 – Hosting Lync for the SMB Customer

JoshCondie1_3x3_2013

Yesterday, one of my Microsoft colleagues, Wahjih Yahyaoui (Sr. Program Mgr. in the Lync/Skype Business Group) announced the release of the Lync Server 2013 Multi-tenant Hosting Pack.  This is very relevant to the SMB partner space.  Until recently their was somewhat of a grey-line profitability threshold of around 300 users that existed for the viability of hosting Lync in a multi-tenant fashion for multiple, small business (small user count) customers.  Now the resources and guidance are available to overcome that barrier and build a profitable practice around one of Microsoft’s most exciting and growing solutions:  Unified Communications with Lync 2013 (inclusive of Enterprise Voice and Video).

Please reference Wajih’s blog post here:  https://blogs.technet.com/b/nexthop/archive/2013/06/12/announcing-the-release-of-lync-server-2013-multitenant-hosting-pack.aspx
