With Windows Server 2012, we now have two editions of Windows Server 2012 that include Hyper-V, Standard and Datacenter Edition.  Starting with Windows Server 2012, we are no longer offering an Enterprise version of Windows Server, we’ve included all of the capabilities of Windows Server in the Standard Edition version.  The only difference between Standard Edition and Datacenter Edition is virtualization licensing.  We will talk more about that at another time, but right now I want to walk through setting up Hyper-V on a Windows Server 2012 Server.

I mentioned my Hyper-V Replica video in this discussion.  The Hyper-V Replica Blog and Video can be found here.

I also talked about Constrained Delegation for Windows Server 2012 with Hyper-V.  We have a good TechNet article here that walks through the configuration of your Windows Servers for Live Migration on Non-clustered Virtual Machines.

This session is one part of a whole series of screen casts around Hyper-V in Windows Server 2012, you can go this link to access the whole series.

Until next time,
