Q: (from Jessica)
I had a request today for Windows Sever, Multi-Language. I see that SA gives multi language rights to desktop applications, will it so the same for server products. I can’t find anything specifically saying this.
Great question. A Bing search on “Windows Server Multi Language” gave me the following download links:
- Windows Server 2012: http://www.microsoft.com/oem/en/installation/downloads/Pages/Windows-Server-2012-Language-Packs.aspx?mtag=TW-P-S12#fbid=1-nelxuwheL
- Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=12250
- Windows Server 2008 SP2: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=3162
So apparently multilingual support is provided with Windows Server without having to add Software Assurance.
