One Tablet to Rule Them All

“We wants it, we needs it. Must have the precious!”

As I do more and more demos with my Windows 8 tablet, I literally hear these words coming from the audience.

This slide sums it all up:

I always start off by asking, “Who in the audience owns some type of tablet?”

Typically, about a third of the audience members respond by raising their hands.

I then ask the folks with their hands raised, “Do you also own some type of PC?”

Inevitably, they all answer “Yes.”

I ask them why they need both, and they usually say things like, “I just use my tablet for games, email, and to surf the web, but when I need to work on Word, Excel, or PowerPoint, I use my PC.”

I then show them a demo of Windows 8 on my Samsung Series 7 Slate.
