Josh Condie -

Microsoft is creating a new exam, 74-324: Administering Office 365 for Small Business. This exam will be based on a training course specifically designed to meet the needs of partners administering Office 365 for small business customers.

In summary, if you’re seeking Small Business competency attainment, you should complete all of the competency requirements except the Office 365 exam. Wait for the new exam 74-324 to become available. This new exam should be available in the next few months – make sure you’re following the MPN Training Twitter feed @mpntraining for an announcement.

A special Jump Start session will be offered exclusively for Microsoft partners to help prepare for this exam – this Jump Start is scheduled for August 29-30. Registration information is coming soon. More details about the correct exam information can be found on this blog post.

From the Blog Post:

“We’re also working on a 10-hour JumpStart clinic designed to help you prepare for the new exam. To ensure that it’s SMB-focused, we are having partners with deep Office 365 experience for SMB customers – Chris Oakman from Eastridge Technology and Stephen Hall from District Computers – deliver the course. This event is tentatively scheduled for August 28-29th 29-30th and we’ll post registration details as soon as they become available.

Finally, we’ll be updating the Small Business competency learning path to reflect these changes.”
