Moving from Windows Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Ultimate

Q: (from Bill)

I need a sku or mfg. part # for anytime upgrade from vista home premium to win 7 ultimate?

A:

There isn’t a single SKU that takes customers from Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Ultimate. It would be a two-step process: Upgrade Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Home Premium ($119.99) and then an Anytime Upgrade from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Ultimate ($139.95). Your distribution partner can advise you regarding the SKUs and if it would be cheaper to just get a new Windows 7 Ultimate license.
