The Cost of Certification is Going Up

If you missed the announcement, the cost of certification exams is increasing effective July 1, 2011.  In the U.S., the certification exam will increase from $125.00 to $150.00.  It looks like the traditional discounts will still be available, but the discounted price will increase as well since it will be based upon the new prices.  We have a good FAQ here (scroll down) that talks about the increase, but let me point out a few of the details that caught my eye:

  1. We have a Competency Exam Pack offer here that provides discounts between 20% – 30% for exam vouchers.  Note that these exam packs expire September 30,2011.
  2. Any vouchers purchased by June 30, 2011 at the old price will be valid until their expiration date.  Hint: if you know you need to take a test, buy the voucher(s) now at the current price.
  3. We maintain a Special Offers page here, that provides a list of the offers available.

If you are outside of the U.S. or are interested in the educational discounts, we have a pricing tool here that will help you understand how this price change will impact you.

Until next time,
