Why should you?  Good question, but think about this.  Your customers are looking for trusted advisors, right?  These accreditations help raise your customers confidence in you.  Existing customer relationships may not realize much benefit from these accreditations, but what about your potential customers?  How do you differentiate yourself from your competition?  We have plenty of technical certification programs, but we need people that can also sell our solutions.  These assessments do a great job at testing real world customer scenarios and Microsoft solutions.  They also help prepare you to sell against our competitors.  Here’s a great description of the Microsoft Sales Specialist program:

Become a Sales Specialist Today!

In today's competitive market, solution expertise and effective sales execution can be key differentiators. The more knowledgeable you are, the better an advisor you can be to your customers. The Microsoft Partner Network Sales Specialist accreditation is a new initiative designed to help individual sales professionals, like you, strengthen your solution knowledge and gain recognition for solution selling expertise associated with select Microsoft solutions

The assessments can be accessed here.  We now have nine sales assessments covering our most popular solutions.  As we know, selling is not a one size fits all, it’s about understanding your customers business, the possible solutions and the competitors.  Here is the list of the current assessments.
