How do you get started selling Online Services?  - Get started at  Check out the Cloud Accelerate at MPN Cloud Accelerate.  Also, I highly recommend downloading free internal use rights through the Microsoft Cloud Essentials pack to get comfortable with Online Services.

If you’re not yet a Microsoft Online Services Partner, visit the US Microsoft Partner Network for enrollment options and benefits through US distributors. Enrolling through a distributor will provide you additional support, which can help you close your first deal more quickly.

Why sell Online Services? Selling cloud services like BPOS (to become Office 365) and Exchange Online can help you expand your customer reach, accelerate deal flow and drive incremental revenue. A recent IDC “2011 Predictions” report highlights some compelling points:

· Public and private clouds will drive 15% of IT spending, growing four to five times the rate of the overall IT market

· 80% of new software offerings will be available as cloud services

· By 2014, over one-third of software purchases will be via the cloud

It’s a great time to start expanding into cloud services. If you feel that you want to commit to building a cloud services practice after selling your first deal, Microsoft can support you with programs like the SMB Cloud Champions Club.
