Why Windows 7? Why now?

Windows 7 is now a year old and I’m still hearing questions like “Why Windows 7?” or statements like “XP is good enough”.  Other people are still saying things like “I’m waiting for SP1”, or “I want to see someone else do it first”, OR “I have applications that are not compatible with Windows 7”.  I wanted to take a few minutes and address some of these questions and comments since Windows 7 has now been on the market for over a year.

  2. I’m waiting for SP1. Honestly, please don’t wait, even Gartner has recommended not waiting for SP1. But for those that insist on waiting; SP1 is right around the corner, so please start testing and building your plans.
