How to Demo Office 2010 to your Customers (Part 4)

Well, we’ve come to the end of the road… but there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow… should I go on? Smile

In the last part of this demo series I demo Office Web Apps in a SkyDrive environment, and I address some of the issues that arise when collaborating between Google Docs and Office.  What you’ll notice with Office Web Apps is that we deliver an awesome full fidelity experience between your locally installed copy of Office 2010 and the cloud.  Not only are we able to view documents with Office Web Apps, but we can also edit and collaborate in real time.  If your customers are considering Google Docs, please remind them that it does have some limitations.  In this demo, I upload a Word 2010 document into Google Docs.  When I do, you will see that the document is actually converted before it can be edited.  It is no longer an Office document at that point.  You will see that many formatting inconsistencies occur.

Learn how to demo the User Interface Guides which allow your customers to easily find the tools/options they are looking for in Office 2010.  This is accomplished by using a simulated Office 2003 environment to help point them in the right direction.  If you haven’t seen this yet, here’s your pot of gold!
